Management Team

BandRibbons was founded in 1964 by Dr. Edgar Smith, former chair of the Music Department at Western Oregon University. When BandRibbons was sold to Tom and Sally Peyree in 1990 , the business moved across town with two dedicated employees who have been with BandRibbons from the beginning. Tom and Sally recently, sold BandRibbons to Ron and Jean Caligure (cal-i-jury), again moving the business across town with those same two dedicated employees plus one! A round of applause for Pauline, Shirley, and Gale!

Jean and her daughter, Lacey, have been involved with BandRibbons during the spring for about seven years. Their attention to detail and caring personalities will keep the BandRibbons tradition of customer service and quality, first and foremost. You might find it rather interesting to note that Lacey graduated from Western Oregon University with a Music Degree and now works in the Dr. Edgar Smith Music Hall. Ron is a public educator and coach. He is looking forward to meeting many of you at future conferences. On any given day you will find the Caligure grandchildren and their parents helping with BandRibbons.

BandRibbons has thrived in the Monmouth-Independence community where it originated. You can be assured that Tom and Sally Peyree are a phone call or e-mail away…or a quick trip across town. Our goal has been a seamless transition of ownership.
